RE: How man CFM's
i want to know this too because im looking for a electric that pulls enough air. the stock fan is enough to cool off the car so i need to know how much that is so i get a fan that is at least that much or more

the stock engine driven fan is variable speed depending on engine speed, so it don't run a just one speed. plus it also is not needed much above 35 mph as the air flow through the radiator at speed is enough to keep the engine cool, which is why the fans have clutches on them so they can disengage at some point. I use a Flexilite Black Magic electric fan in my Stang and it is rated at 2,000 cfm if memory serves me correctly and it comes with an adjustable thermostatic switch so it can cut itself off when it's not needed.

it keeps my engine cool but I also have the Ford racing raditor too, so I can't say how it would do with the stock rad on the street since I only installed it after I made my Stang a strip only car.
