hey guys the 351 forum is slow lately. im just wondering what a ballpark would be to have my block hot tanked magnafluxed and bored .030 over and have the rotating assembly balanced

I've gotten quoted more like $800 for machining a block and rotating assym.

You can buy a short block for same cost as paying for machining and buying rotating assym.
Short block builders are making their money on buying parts at wholesale and machining the block
and basically putting it together for free for you.

from what u said to hot tank,mag and bore and to balance the assembly would be around 500-700

this is what i had done and how much i am reading it off my receipt for my work
cmag block $35
crank grind 110
bore and hone with torque plates225
main line block 205
square the deck 185
install cam bearings 45
hot tank 55
balance rot. assembly 225
resize rodswith arp bolts 85
hang new pistons 55
install file to fit rings 80
plus there fees13.75

total 1400.00

this is for a new block and fartherthan a lot of people have to do . now i wish i would of just bought a shortblock from fordstrokers cause i had like 2200 in this shortblock and it only a 306 . now i wish i just would of stroked it damnit[:@][:@][:@]
