Default c4

i just got a c4 from my dad's friend at work. he said it's completely rebuilt except the casing and only had 1000 since the rebuild. i was wondering how do i check to make shure it works? he gave the the torque converter as well but i no nothing bout the auto and need some help seeing if it works. thanks

I agree with rednek.
You can't hook a drill motor to the converter and spin the tranny to test it.
If the fluid is clean, go for it.

also if you want you can pull the pan off, take the 12 bolts out of the valve body and air test the tranny. there are 2 clutches and 2 servos to check.

id just drop it in and go. id try what lx90 said but if your not to inclined to autos, i wouldnt mess with it.
