im lookin to get new tires for my pony rims and i have 245s on back now i was wonderin how big can i go in the front and back with no rub on stock suspension of an 89lx 5.0. thx

i had 285s on mine it only rubbed the fender lip if i hit large bumps. but my 255s do the same so i guess it depends on the backspacing on the rims. my 285s were on 17x9.5 ROH and my 255 are on 15x8 weld draglites.

Just measure the amount of room you have with the tires you have now and that will let you know how much room you have to play with...........

245/50/r16 I have on the front and rear it looks good and no rub, i wouldn't go any bigger than that.

some people run 255s with stock rims and no rub.
