Hey everyone I'm new to the forum. I live in Alabama and I'm looking to get rid of my Honda Civic. I want to get an 89 mustang gt but I really don't know what kind of prices to look for to consider an ok deal. I'm thinking around 3500 hundred dollars. What kind of problems should I be looking for in the engine in the after i buy it? What kind of mechanical problem usually happens with a mustang that old?

It really depends on how much you want to spend on one. You can find them in immaculate condition if you look hard enough. If $3500 is what you want to spend then your not gonna get much IMO. You could luck up and find a nice one for a little more. It's prob. gonna have high miles on it though. The good thing about these cars is you can beat the s**t out of them and they just keep on going. My suggestion is to buy one with little or no mods. Less chance that it's been ragged out. </P>
