Granted, the early 4-eyed cars were lighter, thats why I bought one.
BTW, I'm still using the factory 'K' member for now and still have safety glass in it.........

very true.

im hoping to hit the 3000 mark after the t5 swap, k member, aluminum heads, and aftermarket hood.


that should be enough.... i hope, but i dont even know my current weight as she sits now

Yea that helps too. I don't have any carpet or the rear seat assembly. I have removed some of the wiring that I will not use and if I did I would rewire it anyway. I want to take it to a scale here locally but I havn't had the chance yet. I may look into it this weekend.

i would if my car was a all out dragster.

its not my dd, but id like to keep the carpet.

might pull the carpet, and take out all the sound damping stuff ive hear of.

id pull the rear seats if i could make some sort of shelf to put stuff on.

most drag strips have a weighing station

or you can go pay the $4 or w/e it is now-a-days to get it weighed at a truckstop

remove rear seats
remove spare tire
remove passenger seat
remove hatch/trunk carpet
remove insulation
remove seat brackets
remove a/c
remove smog parts
lightweight rims (welds, etc..)
remove front sway bar
aluminum parts
fiberglass body panels (doors, hatch, etc..)

Yup thats what im doing to mine as we speak so far i have removed. bumbers,carpet,scraped up all the black tar crap padding under carpet,Front sway bar, All interior plastic panels,ac condenser and ac componets,

still trying to figure out what to do about my door panels cuase i want them off but i have eletric windows
