a stock AOD is a very lousy shifting tranny. that is why when left in D they will only run a 15. now if you manually shift it, it will knock of tenths. but i recomend a good shift kit and just leave it alone. nothing like just stalling it and nailling the throttle and just looking at your opponent trying to catch you while youre looking over at him and he just missed a gear

a properly built AOD is fast shifting tranny. just get a higher stall converter and all the goodies with it.

Sorry for the post jacking but i have a 94 gt n i just got my aod tranny rebuilt and i was looking at a b & m electronic shift kit is this kit u guys are talking about bc i hear alot of auto's w/ shift kits is this electronic kit the way to go?

you have an AODE. i wouldnt use a B&M shift kit

Hey man thanks for the advice since ive been asking around i heard that the electronic kits suck and they can damage the comp and my car is a 94 so im lucky i havent had comp problems yet i went with a trans go kit i just had them install it as they rebuilt it
