Saleen Supercharger / Vacuum problem HELP
I posted this in the 4.6l section but nobody could seem to give me an answer so I thought I would bring it over to my 5.0 guys.
I am looking into buying a 2001 Saleen 4.6L w/procharger, the problem is the car hasan issues with the procharger/vacuum and I wanted to see if this was aneasy fix or something that is going to get expensive
2001 Saleen, ok heres is the deal.
The procharger supercharger is creating boost but when you let off the gas at higher RPM's the supercharger is making a rythmic noise that sounds like the belt is slipping.
The bypass valve would not holdsuction sothey took it off andfound thegasket wasworn.A new one wasinstalledand itnowseems to be working properly but the noise is still there . The tech at Procharger suggested that without the bypass working properly, it could have blown a vacuum line somewhere else.
I don't know alot about superchargers so is this just a vacuum issue or do you think it is more involved then that???
All help/info will be appreciated..
