Default Header wrap/blankets

Any drawbacks to using header wrap or blankets? Like increasing head temps?

header wrap has nothing to do with the temp on the heads. the main reason to have this is for cooler engine compartment temps which owill in turn lower the engines temp a little bit. i wrapped mine up. well see how it goes

i heard that condensation can build up in between the wrap and headers which promotes rusting. I live in a very humid place so i dont think ill be doing the wrap.

Do you have any problems with rust on the headers after wraping them? I heard that was a problem with wrap witch is why Im thinking about the blankets. I live in a dry climate so i hope its not a problem.

did not see your post DB. I guess they do cause rusting then. My car never see the rain since its a second car and with the dry air i wonder if it would be a problem. I have the same MAC headers on since 97 and would hate to rust them out. There is no rust on them now.

is live in south florida and in about 3 months my chrome headers went from bright shinney to dull and rust spots... thats how the weather is down here. wrap would just accelerate this.
