Default E-Brake help

Ok my e-brake is messed up I pull up on it and it's really hard to pull up till it engages I mean you have to pull it up really hard and high up for it to ingage and when you do it shifts to the left. Any ideas adjustment? maybe or cable bad? I worked on a buddies 96 GT and there was no effort needed at all for it to engae so any ideas.

Default RE: E-Brake help

mine did this and one day I reefed on it and the cable broke.
I still havent fixed it.
I think you have to get the handle and cord inone piece.
I tried to take out the cable, and I couldn't get it out without bending the crap out of the handle.
