even if you DID need a spring compressor, the clamshell isnt the way I would have gone.


I personally would have gotten the one that goes up inside the spring!

I got one of those because i figured that was the best way.....there is no way to get it out. when its collapsed down the hole in the A arm is not big enough to slip it out.

is there something else I might be missing?

If you're in Houston you can borrow my $250 Ford compressor
that goes inside the spring. Makes it a breaze.
Fits thru the a-arm hole and complete compresses the spring so you just pop it right in
and jack up the a-arm in place.

Had to get one when I did spring swap with motor out.

this clam shell one i ordered was 40 bucks and they go for 250 new so i think i should be ok. Im in West Des Moines IA but thanks any R barn.
