Check the last diagram here ..... if you remember the relay socket diagram, there is one thing that will cause the starter relay to stay activated....... and that is the constant presence of the 12-vdc START voltage at the corresponding coil terminal (85 or 86 prong). Since you disconnected ignition switch connector at the steering post (right?)...... the other alternative is that theres a short of the START wire to the relay, somewhere in the wiring harness, to a 12-vdc source. Some wire tracing is required. LUK

That is right, I disconnected it at the steering post. I suppose I'll try my luck tracing the wires, thanks for the help.
