where is best place to order my tork boxes & plates from? what is fair price? do i need uppers too? will not drag with slicks over 6 times per year.

ive heard all you really need to do is weld up the existing ones to make them stronger

Thats all you need to do is weld your existing boxes where ever there is a seam. Make sure they have not started to crack in the lower corner,welding your torque boxes helps a lot.

you can get some for under $50 for a set on ebay.

if you only drag race that few times a year, I wouldn't worry about the torque boxes unless you're making tons of horsepower and dropping the clutch at 6,000 rpms! I've made over 400 passes on mine with slicks and the torque boxes are still just fine! I am going to reinforce them though for my new engine.
