If you hook up to the high side(smaller tube), you run the risk of EXPLODING the freon can.(Not good)!
Output temp varies w/ambient air temp.(should be appx. 10 deg. colder than outside air temp).

you don't mix r-12 (which his system still is) with 134a..sytem really needs to be properly converted = evacuated if there is still some r-12 in it..reviever dryer changed and I don't have time to explain the 1 page it'll take as to why... but properly converted this is the way best way..... for you my friend the best thing to dois to get what they call FREEZE 12 and charge it through the low /suction side while car is running with proper gauge set up.....just slamming the fittings on and mixing the two freons will contaminate system and most likely cause the desacant bag to burst and cause a mess in the a/c system.....a/c principals and compatibility need to be understood an unfortunately some don't understand all the important stuff also when converting to 134a from r-12 80 percent of the original charge should be used in system..and if your just slammining it in via parts store bought easy use cans...you need to monitor pressures..more is not better and does not cool better..the opposite will happen......also often times when converted a r-12 system may not cool as well and often I've had to swap out orifice tubes calibrated for 134a and in a fox that tube is molded into the high side line = non servicable without cutting it out or replacing line....but first thing to do is properly perform the conversion and have it charged and see where your at...none of this may apply and you may have cold air again
