It would connect and brace the twoshocks in the back. So it would be in your hatch, but I don't think you need to worry about getting one.

Never seen that one just the straight ones. The hatches are pretty strong in that spot from the factory

I've seen many different designs for the RearStrut Tower Brace, and this is what Steeda says about theirs.

Limit horsepower-wasting chassis flex with a Steeda Rear Shock Tower Brace. A great compliment to a coil-over system; will yield a stiffer chassis regardless of your suspension choice. Zinc-plated, chrome-moly construction. Some welding required for installation.

Does it really work?
Probably if you're trying to get every possible helpful edge you can get Auto Crossing then it may help, but for a DD I don't think it worth it's worth the cost. But that's just me .
