Default Eliminating the EGR system
is it true that I can totally eliminate the EGR system?
What procedures do I have to take?

Search the forums, we've covered this many a time. All involved is unbolting the EGR valve and either buying a making your own block off plate and blocking the vacuum lines that the EGR solenoid gets vacuum from so you don't get vacuum leaks, and either buying an EGR eliminator from eBay or putting in your own resistor to send the computer a closed signal for the EGR position.

The EGR valve closes up at WOT. It only recirculates at partial throttle. You wont be benefitting much if any by deleting it.
