3.73's. 3.55's are a joke. i was in the same boat as you till i made a graph to see the difference. when a car is running at 5200rpm with 3.55's, to go the same speed with 3.73's youd only be at 5500. in other words there is almost no difference in rpms but the 3.73's will pull harder

do you do much highway driving? If your mostly street i'd say 4.10's but i've got 3.73 and they pull nicely

3.73's and I commute, as long as I do not go over 70 or 75 I will be ok with gas. I love my gears and I think it is one of my best investments on my stang.
Good luck.

i love the 3.73's in my 87. the rule of thumb with mustang guys around here is 3.73's for 5 speed, and 4.10's for automatic.

Im debating the same thing with my stang I have a T 5 and I havent decided between 3.55's or 3.73's I have 3.08's stock I'll probably get 3.73's because I don't do much highway driving but a lot of the guys that are saying 3.73's have auto's also I think I might get nitrous next year so thats another reason that 3.55's would be a good choice but I'm still undecided.
