Thats what i figured but my wife wanted to see it in black and white seeing as how we have been fighting with this car for over a month and already got one trans that was bad.[:@]I know some trans are easy to do but I have also heard that these do require special tools. UGH!! I cant win for losing. Now the guy I bought the trans from said he cant do nothing till mid June.

I'm sure I'll get some negative responses, but really the only special tools you absolutely need are the lip seal protectors (they come in a set for around $100). You need a special spring compressor, but you can get by with 2 medium size c-clamps, the rest can be done with basic tools. I personally haven't done it myself, but I will be doing it in the next month or so. I don't have the money for a Lentech, but after watching a "how to" video, I feel confident that I can do this. It's not rocket science, it's just a little time consuming. The clearances are checked with a feeler guage, and the air checks on the valves are pretty straight forward. The valve body is the most critical part of the AOD, but I will be running an aftermarket one anyways. I think I can do it for around $500, including the cost of the seal protectors, as long as I don't have any damaged hard parts (this would be using red alto clutcheskolene steels, with a kevlar band, and should be more than enough to handle my 300 - 325 horses). After going through 3 AODs in 2 years in my Son's truck, to the tune of over$3500 (I know, I spentmore than a Lentech would have cost), I'm going to take the plunge!. I purchased the "Badshoe" video, and I highly recommend it for anyone who's thinking of doing it, or anyone who wants to understand how the AOD works. See the link.
