Default aftermarket door handle fix

I bought a pair of metal door handles from 5.0 resto and thay flat out suck *** after Iinstalled them I could take the top part of the handle and move it a good 1/2 inch up and down and it was super hard to get the door open b/c it had so much play in it so I went to my old job and looked up the interchange on the door handles turns out that the same door handle was used on ford escorts as well and came in a satin black and chrome {both are metal}so I whipped out the cordless drill and headed to pick n pull and found a pair of chrome ones slapped them on and threw the resto handles in the TRASH!!!! and I was done

Yea, you are right. Those door handles are garbage. The stock plastic one I had lasted 15 years before it broke. The metal one from 50resto broke after about 3 years in the same exact spot as the other one did. I only bought another one from 50resto because the original ford part is priced at something like 60 bucks versus 12 for the aftermarket one. But anyways, I agree with your statement about them being garbage, mine fit well, but they're just poor quality from my experience.

I bought ones off Ebay for like $20 and worked perfect, did you rivet them in?
