Like the title says I am looking for a good epoxy to use to assist bonding metal lips to a fiberglass deck lid. I will use nuts and bolts as well but want the extra reinforcement of epoxy.

If you are just looking for adhesive, then the parts stores actually have a pretty good selection these days. Loctite has some decent stuff, but just reading the package will give you a good idea of what your getting.
They will list 'intended applications' and 'ultimate strength'
JBWeld maybe???

Can you give more info on what you are doing? I'm kinda curious...

Thanks for the advice, I see I had a typo in the first message lips instead of clips. I recently bought a fiberglass deck lid to replace the dented one on the project. Everything from the old deck lid will transfer over, hinges and springsexcept for the key locking mechanism. On my lid it has the main mounting brackets spot welded in 2 spots each. Easy enough to drill out and use small nuts, bolts, and washers on the fiberglass but I want a epoxy on the backing as well so that opening and closing will not crack around the drilled holes. Kind of difficult to explain but I included pictures.

use fiberglass fabric and fiberglass resin, its really easy to work with and you cant mess it up as long as you follow the directions.
