Default New To The Site, Have A Few Questions and not sure where to post them!

I am probably getting 2 mustangs tomorrow, a 1980 and a 1985, I was wondering if its possible to put the front and rear clips or w/e off of a 1987 on one of those or if its impossible, and how hard would it be to drop either a 5.0L or a 4.6L into those two right now its a 2.3L in both with 5spd transmissions... thanks in advance!

Signed,
Jayson Phillips

I'm sure I'll be corrected if I'm wrong - but the FOX body was the same from '79 until '93, only differences were in the front and rear covers, rear-side windows, interior, and lights/spoilers - so the front and rear ends should all be interchangeable. IMO, don't use the '87 nose (unless of course thats what you already have!) For the 85, find an actual '85 GT front end or even an '82 GT front end - those are a couple of d*mn good looking noses!

another option I was considering was getting a Saleen Engine for one of them, if I understand correctly the first mustang Saleen was made in 1984. what are your opinions on that?

Why would you want to get rid of a beautiful face like this?

Throw a 5.0 in her and get er done. The Pre-OBD-II 4.6s weren't that powerful anyhow, unless you upgrade the heads to the PIs.
