Default x-pipe question

Hey guys I have a stupid question. A friend of mine has (2) aftermarket, never installed x-pipes in his garage and he's had them for a couple of years. One of them is stainless steel. He said i could have either one for $50 but the catch is that they are for a 4.6 Mustang and I have a 5.0, 88 Mustang. Is it at all possible to make them work on my car? I have another friend that can do the work because he has a lift in his garage and he knows people at the local muffler shop that could bend it for me. I just want to know with the resources I have can I make those x pipes work or not. I know that $50 is a steal for those(especially for stainless steel) so I'm hoping I can make these work. Thanxs for the help in advance.

4.6 dint come with Y pipes. they came with H pipes and so did your car. why would you want an Y pipe when your car has dual exhaust. that does not make any sense at all.

ok now that makes sense. lol. not a problem. i understand. im not really sure if the x pipe can be modified to fit your 88 5.0 i really never thought abouit it before. maybe someone else can let you know or you can ask a exhaust shop if they can make it work.

Even if I could have a muffler shop do some bending? You still don't think it would fit? I would hate to pass up a deal like this if I don't have to

it would be almost cheaper to just have the muffler shop bend you some pipes to your mufflers
