one more roller in a non roller block question

alright so the main reason you cant use the 302 roller lifters in a non roller 351 is b/c of oiling issues. the roller lifters are longer so the oiling hole sits above the lifter hole correct?. so instead of spending 500 bucks on lift bar lifter cant i just use retro lifters and a retro spyder kit like these

Yes you can use theretrofit, but itis a small base circle cam, they are JUNK. This has been pointed out many times. The small base circle cam has severe deflection at rpm and is prone to breaking. To use a standard sized base circle cam (all other roller cams)in a non-roller block you need to use link bar lifters.
