I said replace the whole rack cause if the inners are shot it most likely has 100k+ and the rack as seen better days. It will save you work in the end. I paid $250 for the late model resto kit. It came with the rack, inner and outer tie rods, urethane bushings with sway bar end links and strut mounts
^^boy that's a rip!! I just put a rack in my 92 last saturday and cost me 79.79!!!

Were the parts used or you bought them separately? If New Pleasem by all means, send that link! I found them for $350, stang8680 got it for $250, you paid $79.79? I want the one you got.
I just bought a rack and got it from napa and it was a quality reman one = all new tie rods inners on them and my outers were fine and I was impressed with the rack and it worked great and quiet and sway bar links..I bought poly urethane ones at autozone for 19.99 and they were the right size..prices may vary depending on your location and I didn't need strut mounts as I doubt you do too....but if the outers are fine just check napa out for a reman one..and mine came with a lifetime warranty

Yep..autozone has them for $80 all day also. Reman with lifetime warranty and inner tie rodsincluded. The install is very simple. The most aggravating piece is the steering rodknuckle or whatever it's called.

I replaced my passenger inner and the outer on both sides. It was pretty easy even for a non-mechanically inclined person like myself. Just going from memory, the inner alone should be a ton easier than the outer since (again, if I'm remembering correctly) you won't have to undo the strut and spindle. I did have to get a new rack and pinion boot though.
