I put 3.73s in my 5-speed car and, quite honestly, if you plan on making some serious power down the road, you'll want the little bit higher end gears. Remember, without slicks or DRs, you break traction a lot easier and Ets won't get THAT much better, but better.

JD, I wasn't shooting down his opinion, and sure he may have been doing this stuff alot longer than me I realize that. I do alot of Interstate driving, I'm 50 miles from Denver (I live in the country). I ain't trying to be a dick so we'll just go ahead and leave this where it's at. If anyone could help me right now it would be to tell me what website to get these gears from and I'm havin troubles finding the installation kit on Summit. I really appreciate everyones help on this and I'm not trying to burn any bridges with anyone and I apologize if it seemed like that (to JD and Sidewayz).

i agree 4:10s >

for the 50 cents a week 4:10s cost over 3:73s, they are well worth it.

Believe it or not...It will be higher than with the stock gears and the 3.73's.

EDIT: Here, I knew I explained it the other day... https://mustangforums.com/fb.asp?m=494798

No need to apologize, you did'nt do anything wrong. It just seems we get the 3:73 vs 4:10 every week. Alot of old timers say 4:10's are not good for a car that sees the highway but they are still thinking in old technology, our cars have an overdrive trans that really makes it possible to live with 4:10's quite easily.

That's what my dad is sayin, he's rodded 64-65 falcons, mustangs, cudas, roadrunners... you name it he's done it. That is where I'm getting my second opinion from and I don't know what I can do to get him to budge on me getting the 4.10s.
