Default TPS related to gas mileage?

Okay I changed my TPS setting from like .86 to .987 last night. I did every thing right. I noticed I am a little quicker only when I hammer the gas. My question is: Does changing this setting make my gas mileage change? I was wondering because today I was driving around and it seemed like I used twice as much gas.

Thanks

Default RE: TPS related to gas mileage?

Probably from you "hammering" on it a lot more. When I installed my exhaust I had heard about the slightly better gas mileage you should get by making it less restrictive so I was like WTF when I was burning it up a lot faster. Then I realized how much harder I had been driving it. I don’t see why you would lose MPG just by having your throttle respond quicker except the driving behavior that came with it.
