The specs on the Autolight 3924's is as follows:

Heat Range Chart Location D11
Hex 5/8"
Reach 3/4"
Resistor/Non-Resistor/Suppressor Suppressor
Seat Gasket
Thread Diameter 14MM
Tip Power

While the Autolite 764's specs are

Heat Range Chart Location D15
Hex 5/8"
Reach .708"
Resistor/Non-Resistor/Suppressor Suppressor
Seat Tapered
Thread Diameter 14MM
Tip Power

So as you can see, the major differences are the seat style, heat range, and a ever so slight (.042") difference in the reach.

Stinkin, you should be running #3924's with those heads. Edelbrock actualy recommends Champion (total junk) and the the part number they say to use crosses over to Autolite #3924.
