F@cKed Something up with nitrous **w/ teardown pics
So last night i was messing around with my buddies bike. We made a few runs on the spray and on the 3rd one in 4th gear my car started bogging out. My guess is inadiquate sp? bottle pressure caused one of my plugs to fowl. No big deal. So i parked it and i pulled the plugs on it today. 2 of them looked like the picture below and the rest were all fine. So i replaced the bad ones and started the car up and it still sounds like its missing. Im thinking i might be overseeing a more serious issue especially with that plug grenading... Any suggestions?

^^^^^detonation and or destroying pistons, plugs or valvesis not solely limited to nitrous equipped vehicles or for that matter vehicles with boost ...it can happen to a N/A vehicle improperly tuned..talk to cgreedy on that one

Was it a wet or dry system? In my experience, wet kits are the best. Ill never own a dry kit because ive only seen problems from them. Ive got 146K miles on my 98 Ford ZX2 and have run 40+ bottles through it with no detonation, compression drop, or ANY other problems.

its the dry powershot kit. I have a 255 fuel pump and my pressure is set at 40psi @ idle. All the other plugs looked fine, which is why im concerned about it still misfiring. It shakes like its not firing onall 8...

Well, like I said if you burned a valve or blew a hole in a piston, you're gonna have a miss. that's why i said to do a compression test. That's where you need to start.

back to topic.
burnt valves, holes in pistons or some other way for compression to leak out can cause it to shake like that.

What difference does it make? I already drove it home after the misfire so whatever happened to that ground strap is a done deal.
but heres a vid of when it happened, you can hear it jsut bog in third. [&o]But wtf was i supposed to do...

id say, considering the ground strap was missing from the spark plug.... it was pretty damn stupid of you to continue running it
