Boost timing control ****

I just purchased a 1986 mustang GT, 23000 miles. This car has a vortech supercharger on it with a timing retard **** for the ignition system. Can anyone tell me how to set this properly. I have no paper work on the charger system. It runs like a raped ape though. It is currenlty in the middle of its range. I just dont wantto hurt anyting by messing with it.
