My Grinding has STOPPED!!
 

For those who havn't read my posts in the past I had this grinding noise that seemed to be comming from my rear end when my c5 would shift into 2nd and when some what hard acceleration from a stop or a slow roll. I finnally got to pull out my c5 and put in my c4 that I had bought awhile back for an extra tranny. And now....... NO GRINDING!!!!!!:D I had a feeling that my trans was the culpret but I wasn't sure because it sounded so far back. I get to take my car to work tomorrow to check it on the hills and what not but so far so good!

Now that it doesn't slip in 2nd gear all the time my car feels so much faster. I also got to install the stock set of 1.6 rockers to replace the 1.5's that were on the motor so I know that is part of it. But now you can hear the cam a bit better and the exhaust tone is so much nicer thanks to the extra lift. It seems to rap out quicker and drop in RPM's quicker now that they are on the car too. Next weekend I am hitting the junk yard again to pick up a 3g alternator for $20 so I can install my Mark VIII fan and get rid of my hot running car (thanks to not having a shroud on the clutch fan).
