Default gauge install

does anyone have any idea how to instal a electric water temp gauge? whats easyier to install a electic or a mechanical water temp. gauge? i look forward to doing this project this weekend. thanks for the help

I got one, the hard part is routing the lines through the firewall.
other than that just hook up both ends.

yeah how to you like the gauge? was it farly easy to instal.. im 17 with a 94 gt and im hoping to get the electric water temp and the mechanical oil pressure gauge hooked up this weekend. do they make a mechanical water temp gauge? would that be easyier to work with?

Don’t most people switch TO a mechanical water temp gauge for more accurate readings? Or is it for other reasons?

the mechanical water gauge is easy too, just route the little metal wire from the gauge to the sending unit that screws into the intake. its simple.

i just want to be sure i dont want to mess this up

volts
oil pressure

autometer cobalt series electirc gauges
water temp and volt gauges and no neither one them had instructions
i called autometer and its like talking to an infant

temp gauge is very easy there is a red power wire that u can hook to a constant power to the fuse box and black is ground and then u neeed to run the wire threw the firewall by the clutch cable if u have a cable trannie. and then u hook up the sensor right on the manafold... i just hooked up mine..goood luck
