EXHAUST FOR 1994 5.O
IM LOOKING TO FIND OUT WHAT TYPE OF EXHAUST TO GET LIKE HEADERS, H-PIPE, MUFFLERS. DO I NEED HEADERS TO GET THAT GREAT MUSTANG SOUND,AND DO I NEED AN H-PIPE. AND WHAT MAKE AND MODEL FOR A MUFFLER THAT THE MUSTANG COMMUNITY LOVES ALOT. PLEASE HELP

Im going to get an exhaust system soon too, so ive done alot of research to find a cheap yet good exhaust system. what i've found is flowmaster is good with sound and performance but some people in this forum say that flowmaster sucks for performance. I say what would you rather have stock or flowmaster? also why pay hundreds of dollars more for like 3 extra horses with a different company. you dont have to get headers or an h-pipe to make a good sound although it would help because they make the air flow better. the only thing you need to get that good sound is a cat-back system. that is where im going to start. Im going to get the flowmaster american thunder series 2.25" and they whole cat-back system is only about $210 from mustangs unlimited. after that i will move to the h-pipe and then the headers.

The "mustang sound" usually consists of American Thunder Flowmasters and an off-road H-pipe. Mac also has a Cat-back that is quite popular for a… similar sound and some additional performance I believe (woohoo 2 hp). So if you want to be loud and like everybody else with a Mustang get one of those.
