Default T5 rebuild help question...

ok, I got my kit in and everything, T5 is torn down.. but I noticed that on on the rear cluster Race surface is kinda scarred up, like the part on the actual case that holds the race in, will this be a problem? I got a T5 case from a 96, so I can use that if need be, but I want to stick to the 5.0 case I got out of a 93 notch.
thanks!

the 96 had a t54 not a t5 so i dont think the 96 case will work. either way where the race sits should be fine its not like the bearing is riding on that chewed up area

Well I'm using the Cluster Gear from the 96, all the teeth match in # all seem to be in the same place, but their is only one thing thats different, the reverse gears (2nd cluster from the oil feeder) travels just a bit higher up the shaft than the one I pulled from a 93, this shouldnt be a prob right? (god I hope not)
