Default tire size

what would be a good size tire for a 15x8 rear wheel?
looking for something wider than stock.
im not real familiar with tire sizes so i dont know what im lookin at

255/60/15 = 27" tall tire
275/50/15=26" tall tire

either would be good i wouldnt go any taller for a dd

i have rub marks on my exhaust but i dont know if the previous owner had fat tires on it before me

he must of had big tires for it to rub

and i just had a thread and they said 255 work perfect and 275 are a little tight like real tight i hear.

i am gonna slap on some 255/60/15's on my stock 10 holes for now.

That would depend on what backspacing the wheel is.

on an 8" wheel if you go wider than 10-10 1/2" it will start to roll the contact area smaller than it should be.

also w/ about 11" of tire, you can still fit them on w/ out rubbing provided you have the correct BS, just reverse the quads end-for-end and you can keep them on it
