help with T-5 swap
 

Ok, I have my T-5 inplace of the old aod that was in the car, all the mech stuff is done, cables ran and such, well now when I try to start the car with the key, I am not getting 12v to the starter solinoid. I can jumper this and get the starter to bump. I have the two harnesses pluged into the clutch pedal switch, one was black and one is white. and I even adjusted the clutch switch. What else could I be missing? am so temped to bypass it and run a new wire, but I only want that as a last resort. I have 12v at the steriing colum, this is weird. I even pulled off the cable to the ignition switch that was for the auto shifter safetly switch

i just got done with my swap on a 94 2 weeks ago.....are u sayin its not starting?? or it is but not the way u want it to? if i remember right those two plugs on the clutch pedal are the same plug type?? try switching them maybe that will help

yeah, its not starting, am not getting anything at the starter relay, no 12v, but I have it at the ignition switch, so somewhere between the two, I have a problem and can't figure it out, not sure if the two will switch with each other, I think both have opposite tabs on them to stop that

ok, wait now, am I reading this right, that there is also a neutral safetly switch that I have to deal with on the T-5 itself? if so, what do i do? I don't have any special harness, I just want my car to start :(

you got to jump your nertual safty switch,,,on your old harrness that all

ok, its late and I am burned out from reading way too much on all this :) so i will ask, where is the neutral saftely switch on my old 2.3 harness so i can jump it?

well you can do this ,,you got your old swicth ..?? if so just plug it in ,,make sure its in the park postion or nertual..and tape it up..

driver side of trans tunnel...the t-5 you can use the 2 wires and for your rev lights you can splice into the t-5 sw.on the drivers side too.
