so this past week it has been kind hard to change gears in my car especially into first and from first to second. the problem isn't very consistent because every once in a while it will shift very smooth but most of the time it's a struggle to get into gear. this has been going on for about a week. its a t5 with a king cobra clutch and a lightweight flywheel. any suggestions on what to check out are greatly appreciated. thanks y'all!

Mine was doin the same thing till I put my firewall adjusted on and that fixed it for me.

do you guys think a new clutch quadrant might help? or just a firewall adjuster

Oh sorry I assumed you did the clutch quadrant. Pull up on the clutch pedal and if that doesnt fix the problem then get the quadrant kit. I got mine from summit for like 100 bucks, it came with the firewall adjuster, billet quadrant, and adjustable clutch cable. As far as shifteng smooth at certain times I bet its when its at about 1500 RPM, thats when mine shifted perfect before I fixed the prob.

thanks so much for your help dude. i just got the steeda kit with the cable, quadrant and firewall adjuster. seems like a pretty easy install. did you put yours in yourself? anything to look out for?

Hey no problem. Yeah I put it in myself, Id have to say the hardest part was takin the old one out. A few tips though, not sure how big you are but its easy to take out the front seat and it saves your back if you take it out. Just watch out for the seat studs.
