Ive been reading all the threads about deleting your smog pump and im really thinking about doing it. I have a 94 gt and my tensioner is in a different location than those on the fox bodys but i still think ill be able to work something. My qustion is what do i do the the rubber tubing going to the smog pump. i heard you close them somehow but i dont know how. And also i have a catless h-pipe and sometime this summer i have to swap it out and put the stock h-pipe on so i can pass emissions. Do you think if i eliminate the smog pump but have the stock h-pipe back on there ill be able to pass emissions. Thanks for the help. I have bbk shortys to if it makes a difference..


p.s. is this job worth doing? its cheap and it sounds like it will free up some hp...

can i please get some input on this..i really wanna do this project this weekend and need to know if i need to go out and get a smaller belt and parts to plug the smog tubes.

I have a 95 GT and if you eliminate the smog pump and leave the catilac converters on then you will clog up your cat's and thats no good also i dont know if you could pass emisions without the smog pump hooked up even if you have the cat's on, thats because the smog pump works with the cats so i dunno.
