OMG oil smoke everywheres!!!!
So I just installed an o/r mid-pipe and now the little amount of oil smoke I was blowing before has increase by a lot (duh). So now it actually bothers me. The car has 111k. Also the little tube that goes from the intake tube to the oil fill tube has a lot of ...gunk in it could there be oil vapor or liquid going in the intake that way and how the hell would it get there unless I drastically overfilled my crankcase (which is hard to do with a huge rear main seal problem). Other then getting a compression check what things should I look to change. Would the PCV valve have anything to do with oil blow by and could it blow by this much. Just looking for some easy fixes not a rebuild yet.

first i would put a breather on the oil fill tube and take off the tube fromt eh intake to the oil filler tube. then i would check the valve cover gaskets and see if they are leaking its a common problem if they are and if they are get yourself a set of resuseable gaskets bc they wont ever leak again then you will problem have to replace the rear main seal like you said and get a 1 peice rubber for that.

Yeah I have the piece to fix the rear main in fact I’m waiting for the call to go get started with my headers clutch and rear main. So when I’m doing all that ill look at the valve covers. Where would you recommend getting a breather from?

Is it the crankcase breather that I should get? All I could find was valve cover breathers. I am finding a breather to put where the tube comes from the oil fill now right?

RE: OMG oil smoke everywheres!!!!
i think you are looking at the PCV valve line and you really need that. there should be another one that just goes to like an air line or something that goes to your filter or maybe even your intake and you need to use that line not the PCV to put a breather on

The line I am talking about goes from the intake tube (right after the air filter w/e you call that tube) to the place where you put new oil in. Do I have to plug the intake tube's hole and put a breather on the oil fill tube or do I plug both holes and put a breather for the crankcase somewhere else?

i think you cant put a breather on your valve covers. it think that the oil fill acts as your PCV also.the only way i can see how you can do it is to go get new valve covers. sorry to bring the bad news
