Paxton SN-93 supercharger..
I recently decided to up the boost on my old *** paxton SN-93 supercharger.. i was curious to know what kind of boost these superchargers can handle without exploding? haha. its ball driven.. so idk what kind of boost it is capable of making safely. thanks, ry.

RE: Paxton SN-93 supercharger..
i have one making 8 psi, with a high output impeller, the SN series can handle 39,000 RPM impeller speeds.. if you tell me you pulley size I should be able to tell u what ur spinning...Whats your PSI now?

those blowers dont make much more then what u have. you can try to go smaller dia on charger pulley or bigger on crank, really u dont want to over spin these.. U would be at its limit. If your lower end is stock and you heads arent O ring groved.. Use caution when you passing 10 psi

well i have a beefed up bottom end. i shud be able ot handle more boost. 10 psi shud be safe for the blower right? whats the worst case scenario if i over spin the blower?

Worse case, you burn it up, spin bearing, then you have to rebuild ($650). Also over spinning it can cause you to loose boost. You should buy the oil cooler kit for it to extend life of blower..They get very hot! I installed kit on mine and it keeps it alot cooler, also the cooler the head unit the more boost you can get.. cundn racing has everything you will need~ http://www.cundnracing.com/servlet/t...-trying/Detail
Here is the equation to figure how fast you are spinning it..
Crank Pulley divided by Charger Pulley, multiply by 4.44 then multiply by highest engine RPM...That gives you the max RPM of blower
(Example)
Crank 6"
S/C 4.5" 6 divided by 4.5= 1.33333 times 4.44 times lets say 6,000 RPM gives you a total impeller speed of 35,519...So that would be just under max capacity... Input your numbers and see where your at.. I am spinning mine at around 43,000 RPM and it hasnt blown apart yet.. Use your best judgement, Hope this helps you!
Paxton SN series can handle upto 39,000 RPM
