Default ECU question

i ordered the sensor and housing to convert my 88 to MAF and i found an ecu to buy but i have one question...the ecu is from a cali mustang and i know the tuning is slightly different due to their emissions policy....i think its a A9T....will it go in mine no problem?

it should bolt in..but you'd be better off running a9l if you 5 speed ans i belive its a9p if your auto

I believe the only difference in the a9p/l and the a9t is the fact that it has a little strickter fuel mapping and some emmission differences....other than that I don't think there will be a serious problem with you running it....but i am no expert....I maybe completely wrong.

if you're converting it, just go with the a9p, they work fine even if you're running a std tranny. the only difference is the a9p is made to put out a little more power to compensate for the auto tranny since they take up more power
