Default New clutch?

I don't usually dump clutches in any of my cars but I did it today when the roads were getting slick and I reved it up and dropped the clutch the car just kind of bogged and didn't even chirp. I am guessing this means the clutch is shot. I am very low on cash so I am thinking of dropping in a stock replacement from the parts store. Has anyone on here ever used a parts store clutch?

The clutch isn't shot if it bogged. That means it engaged. You either have a weaksauce engine, really god wet traction, or both.

I don't think the problem is with my engine, I don't think there is a stock 5.0 in exsistance that cannot spin the tires from a stop. Once the car began to roll and I gassed it she kicked right out and spun um

^^^^^if the clutch were shot the car would of reved = rpm gone way up and no tire spin and a smell of burnt clutch would follow

yeah, clutch poppage + wetness = spinnage and some fishtailing. if the clutch was slipping you would bounce off the rev limiter, and not have any fun factor. bogging means something else, what rpm were you at when you dumped it?
