ok i have a 89 5.0 it has a347 and a 5 speed in it But 2 gear is going out. i have a freind that has a new C4 with a stall and a B&M shift and shift kit. he want my 5 speed to fix his. what is the up of a C4??????

Its a strong trans but you lose the over drive so if you are not concerbed with gas mileage you should be ok, I have a C4 in my 90 I bought it that way and it suits the purpose I just don't take it on long trips if it was up to me I would rather have a 5 speed just my.2
