Call the company that makes the converter and tell them the numbers you have. They should be able to tell you the stall. That's what I did with my converter. Another way is to stall your motor until the wheels start to spin. Your stall should be within 200rpms of that.

it came out of a 85 mustang with a non roller cfi motor looked like it was a 4 banger car once. the converter has no name on it just a lil white tag. the aod looks to be rebuilt like the motor was also .030 over. so i was wondering if the converter is anything specail

whats an easy way to tell if the tranny is rebuilt? the motor was rebuilt and the convertor says 2005 and i see a blue felpro gasket on the pan edges. by the way at the junkyard they punch holes in the pan and put a rubber plug in it after draining it. would it be a bad idea to weld a patch plate over the hole with my wire feed?
and as to adders comment i dont think most people on here know what hot rodding really means, it means using what u got and doing it cheap, modifying stuff to work other than it was intended for. not spending lots of money on premade parts or new stuff. like they did back in the 50's. its about knowing stuff that fits that few know, like how a aluminum drive line off of a all wheel drive areostar van fits a mustang if u switch the yokes instead of paying 200-300 for a aftermarket one. thats hot rodding in its true form. i love junkyards. i got my aod for $55 and its probably rebuilt, got my motor for $100 and the 85 gt vert for free, so i dont see how anyone can knock that.
