Default rpm's wont go down

like the title says, my rpm's do not drop when the clutch is pushed in.

if im off coasting, they go down. but say im slowing down for a red light, i downshift to 2nd and put it in 1st once im at a complete stop. the rpm's will hang at like 1500-ish

getting me unwanted attention

Default RE: rpm's wont go down

I had the same problem back in the day when i still had my 302. All I did was run a relay in the power wire to the IAC motor. Once the car was fully warmed up, I would just shut the IAC off and my RPM's wouldnt hang anymore. I'm not sure if it was a problem, or issue in my stock ECM, but the problem went away when I installed my megasquirt
