What did you use to cut the springs? I have wanted to cut mine too and didn't know if th sawzallwould do the trick or if I have to use my compresser and cutting wheel.(which I probably will do anyway). I almost had my front springs out lastnigt when I was messing with the strut bushings but they were to the point where they were gonna fly out and burt me, not just come out nice and easy.

How much did the spring compresser cost to rent???

The front looks much better now. And like everyone says, the rear is basically a cakewalk compared to the front.

Front looks mad good, just make sure you don't make the back lower then the front cause that's hella gay.

well got the backs done earlier today too...didnt turn out like i had "hoped" but i like it still..i got them out pretty easy..cut a coil and an 1/8 off (wished i coulda cut more but that was all i could and still have them go around the mounts like they're sposed to)..anway it lowered it about 3/4" id say..brought it down to the point where the back ends still higher than front which i like...and to the point where theres not such a hugh gap like there was..

projectresto: we have a band saw here at my house that the place where my dad works was gonna throw out so he brought it home.it made short time of cutting them and didnt apply any heat(i touched right by the cut after it got done and hardly warm) i would imagine a sawzall would pretty much do the same as long as maybe u had someone hold the spring while u cut it..and the spring compressor was 50bones from autozone with like 3.75 tax..but got every cent back today when i took it back...and yea springs can definatly be dangerous..but like one of the guys i know said...he has never used a compressor and hes replaced three sets in three different stangs ...he just said "i just lettem run" haha...but idk i figured id be a little safer

I just did my rear earlier and used my cut off tool. I cut out a little too much but it really doesn't look bad. If I had the wheels and tires that I wanted it would look fine. I ended up cutting out 1 3/4 coils and it drop my rear 2 1/4. My tires are kinda tall so it sounds like more than it really is. I am gonna cut another set and make them a little taller in a couple of weeks. I have a coupole of sets back home in indiana and my family is comming down so I will have them bring a set with them. But with the front sitting as high as it is my rear looks really low lol. When I get paid next week I am gonna get a compressor and take out the fronts and cut them.
