Emissions on 5.0?? In GA???

Emissions on 5.0?? In GA???
I am looking at a car a want and i asked the owner if it passed emissions. It has a 2005 sticker, but he said that he didnt have to get emissions for it. He lives in Columbas,GA and I live in Newnan,GA. I thought emissions was a state wide thing??? It has some exhaust job done to it and they cut the pipes right after the mufflers...is there anything I need to worry about it, emissions wise???

yeah you shoud be worried about this big word call PASSING just messing man ummm all i can think of is just make sure you have cats on if you want to pass and make sure you got good spark plugs and good fuel and its in time really good

Dude you were scaring me.....Well Thats Awesome Valdosta!!!!!! It has Cats and all so thats taken care of. I guess Ill be the new owner of a nice 88 LX 5.0 on Wed. He claims he has 8.90 timeslips in the 1/8 but I guess I'll just have to see.

I live by Canongate, near the Golf Ball Water Tower in Canongate Villege. One of my friends has a green 2000 v6 and another one of my friends on Shaw Road drives a blue 2001 V6, and theres also some older man who has a sweet looking 2005 GT in my subdivision. Also my brother has a 1998 V6 and all to top off it all one of my other friends drives the 2000 Black Trans AM you probably "HEAR" around town. Its a pretty quick car. Anyway lets not steal the forum...How about those emissions.

Cool i live off 154 but yeah ur gonna have to pass no matter what. Unless you know someone in another county that will tag the car there and say it is their car. Or (unlikely) you can get your insurance to insure it as a play car/race car and you wont have to pass. but more than likely you will. But if all else fails you should be able to make the car pass with cats no prob.
