Default radiator trans cooler for oil

i have an oil cooler on my car now and am going to be putting a new aluminum radiator in soon. can i use the automatic trans cooler core portion of the new radiator for an oil cooler? anyone done this before?

I would like to know that to.. does thecoolant run hotter then oil? or is the oil hotter then the coolant?

i never thought of that. ur right maybe it wouldnt cool that well. do you think it would be too much of a restriction for the oil flow?

I would ditch that in radiator cooler, it uses hot water for cooling trans fluid. I would get a external oil cooler. they are pretty cheap to.

i have an external oil cooler just thought that trans thing might be a better idea. i think i'll just stick to what i have.
