You would be just as good with a removed air silencer and a K&N filter but people like the sound, if I was to get a CAI I'd go with the 30.00 ebay ones.

The cheap Ebay ones are fine, I have one. The only issue is fitment is a little tight and you will have to take some time to get everything lined up perfectly as they don't give any extra material to work with.

I guess it also depends on which one you go with.

i say just take out the air silencer and cut the hole bigger for the stock box and put in a K&N filter it works better then a CAI

I spent the extra $$ and got a bbk fenderwell kit. it was $200, and I had to fight with it to fit properly, and because my intake is closer than stock to the pass side, I had to bash in my strut tower a little, because it was rubbbing on it and messin the chrome.
