Default short tube headers recomendations

I think my next upgrade will be a set of headers and was wondering what the majority recomends? The speed bumps in AZ are too big with my stock suspension so I want to stick with shortys but other then that I am open. I was lookin on ebay and there are no namers for $100 and big names for $400, what is the difference? What is good, bad, or ugly?

This is for a 94 GT. I also have a side exhuast system that I am hoping I will have the side skirts painted so I can bolt it all on at once.

Iwas very happy with my longtubes but your not wanting to go that route, but before i ordered my longtubes i was gonna get bbk equal lengths. I havent heard anything bad about them and they're not too high priced.

I have BBK ceramic coated equal length shorties. 3 years old now and still look new. Very happy w/ them. Stay away from the cheap e-bay crap. Spend good money and spend it once. You'll be glad you did.

+1 on low shorty midpipes

go longtube and save yourself from doing this twice.

ceramic longtubes and your choice of x or h midpipe, then go ahead and slap in that monstrosity of a side exhaust.

I got BBK ceramic shorties used, but unused off Arizona'scraigslist for $80 dollars....so definatley check craigslist first. The ford racing ceramics are good too, especially if you plan on getting some junyard explorer GT40P's cylinder heads.

I thought I had heard that LTs would hang down and cause clearance problems?

I do plan on doing heads and a cam as probably my next upgrade(that would be some time away) but I had decided when I do that I would go ahead and put out the money for a nice new set. I also thought that equal length shortys would cause clearance problems for the plug wires?

Let me also explain that this car is almost a DD and since it was origianlly owned by my mother, I AM NEVER SELLING THIS CAR so I want to do good, solid upgrades that I will know that will last longer then me....

Thanks thanks thanks......
