Need help !!!!
Me and my buddy tore his 88 down to change the H/C/I. Much to our surprise we found out somebody had put a 86 motor in the car. So that screwed our plans. His new heads wasn't going to work with the FT pistons. We had already put the TF Stage 1 cam in.
So we ended up putting the stock E6 heads back on just to get it running. Here's where we are stuck. I have never adjusted the stock rockers for a aftermarket cam. My car has rollers.
What is the best way to adjust the stockers on a aftermarket cam? I don't think I can just bolt them on a torque to spec.

RE: Need help !!!!
The way i went about it, was to tighten until there is slight drag on the pushrod from the rocker arm then turn another 1/4-1/2 turn and you should reach between 18-25 ft lbs, If you need to turn it more than that then you need to shim the rocker up if i remember right. After you do it once you will just be able to psychically check and tell if its right.

RE: Need help !!!!
it may run, maybe not so great but it'll run with the surge... i put the f-cam in my fox and it said that it wouldnt work with sd and mine started up with no problems besides the surge. but like mjr said, i really hope you checked the ptv clearance, cause that cam is larger than stock and the 86 block has flat tops with no valve reliefs.... and any other cam has a high chance of hitting[:@]
